We are the Faces of Alpha. We proudly represent all five branches of the U.S. Armed Forces: Army; Navy; Marines; Air Force, Coast Guard. Some of us have had 20-year careers in the military. A few of us are training to deploy to wherever we are needed. Most of us have been in combat. We fought in Vietnam. We fought in Iraq and Afghanistan for Operation Desert Storm; Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF); Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). I am Determined to Fight the VA Disability System for My Fellow Veterans

I completed a tour in Iraq. And then, during a tour in Afghanistan, I was injured. I recovered at Landstuhl Hospital in Germany and was fortunate enough to return to Afghanistan to finish my tour. My experiences left me not only grateful to be an American, but extremely mindful of how the sacrifices made by those who serve in our military have made our country great. And yet, when I returned home, I found dealing with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to get disability for my injury an intimidating, administrative nightmare.
