I am very pleased with Alpha! Really there are no words. They really do fight for you. They are also very professional, like an above comment stated, they do care about you, they call and e-mail you to check on you and make sure everything is going ok, and they keep you informed on what's going on, what they are waiting on, and what is expected next. 20% to some people may freak them out, but look at it like this, that's 80% more in your pocket than you would've had without their help. They are great! :)

Lizzy,

Not sure why the variance in DIC pay. We encourage you to reach out to the VA by calling 1-800-827-1000.

Sherri,

Radiation exposure certainly is known to contribute to the development of several types of cancer. During Vietnam, any vet that served in-country was exposed to Agent Orange, which is also known to contribute to the development of several conditions including cancer. As far as AO affecting offspring of male veterans serving in Vietnam, the VA recognizes Spina Bifida (except occulta form). There are ongoing studies into the lasting effects of radiation and AO exposure. You can find some information on this research by visiting the VA’s website (www.va.gov).

Valerie,

Probably won’t be, unless there was clear and unmistakable error. Clear and unmistakable error means that a claim submitted then should have been granted with the evidence available back then.

Thank you for your service during Desert Shield/Storm, if you would like to inquire about assistance from one of our advocates, please call 1-877-611-7724 for initial screening and potential eligibility for our services. We give priority to veterans who served during a period of war in the country of conflict.

My father passed away in Dec 1992. He was a veteran of the Koren War and served from 1952 to 1954 an had an honorable discharge. My mother has never remarried and initially applied back in 1993 and was told there was no funds for this benefit. Unbeleiveable! I have done some research and it appears my mother is eligible for benefits due to husband time served and her current disablity with vision. My father's death was not service connected however is there some benefits owed to my mother and will this be retroactive?
Thanks.
