Note: All representation coordinated by Alpha is provided by our employees, the Advocates, who are accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). No private organization that trains and employs accredited agents has been legally recognized by the VA for the purposes of preparation, presentation, and prosecution of claims. This work must be done by the Advocates themselves and not organizations.
Michael,
Many VSO’s will discourage the filing of IU based on the position that the veteran doesn’t meet the scheduled criteria for entitlement. That’s inconsistent with the spirit of the VA law. If you feel you are unable to work due to service connected disabilities, you should complete the application for IU. If you would like assistance with filing your claim, please feel free to contact us at 877-611-7724. Good Luck.
